vienna, the capital of austria. it's historical buildings, and over all heritage has captured the interest of all those around. home to the schönbrunn palace, a famous building that has been in austria since the late sixteenth century and still manages to catch tourist attraction, as well as the vienna film festival, the city has much to offer. the million or so residents that subside in the city will beam whilst talking about it, displaying immediate pride for their home. the vienna international film festival sparks excitement, and reason to be elaborate in art and design. it is often complimented on it's genuine interest in independent film work, and it is here where you'll find something that you would not have come across elsewhere. vienna goes all out, appealing to art-savvy audiences, and making bold headlines in the press. it pulls many from other countries to the heart of austria, newspapers and magazines will talk about the upcoming film festival with anticipation and excitement. celebrities dazzle the public as they grace the city, they themselves are awestruck by the historical scenery of vienna. we see people fly on business trips, or for a vacation, to participate in the festival and witness a star's debut. it's summer 2009, and vienna is the place to be.
