 the existence of human beings seems such a simple thing for the infamous HARLEM FAMILY, who have lived in Venescence, CA all their lives. Naturally, given their enormous fortunes, the HARLEM progidies show their status, living up to their supposed "reputation" more than perfectly and "without flaw." That is, until the strange disappearance of the father of the family, JAMES HARLEM. The rumors say that just recently, he was sent to jail, but for what? More importantly, however, is the sweet redemption that the HARLEM children seem to be more affected by their father's disappearance than everyone might suppose.
DIXIE, despite the obliviousness of her now isolated mother, ANNE, is growing in her newfound love for the questionable career of acting. What on earth could be going through her mind to be entering such a dangerous and reputation-threatening career? As for ZACHARY, the eldest brother, it seems that, with their fortunes secretly in decline, he is finding a new way of bringing in money: is it through gang membership? Or something even worse? But let's not mention that it seems ZACHARY has found himself in the middle of a crush with the unclaimable, odd girl BELLA.
But what society has YET to figure out?
Perfection DIXIE is pregnant! What ever will defensive ZACHARY think when he finds out CHRISTIAN is the father? Does CHRISTIAN even know? It seems LOGAN is getting rather close to CHRISTIAN, or as close as he will allow given his "flighty" reputation. But in the scheme of things, is BELLA as distant and uncaring towards ZACHARY as she puts it out to be?
